Sophia Germer

Sophia Germer is a painter and photojournalist from New Orleans. She received a BFA in photography from the San Francisco Art Institute before interning at the San Francisco Chronicle and then the New Orleans Advocate. She is currently a photographer with The Times-Picayune and is fascinated with climate issues and the people of the Louisiana coastal region. These two fascinations cross over between her professional work and her personal work with her painting.
